It’s not a secret that m-commerce is changing fashion retail forever. Today the m-commerce fashion industry is one of the most competitive of them all. That’s why online shoppers are looking for the best development, marketing and launch strategies.
The fashion mobile retail is growing constantly. Toda there are main groups of fashion apps out there:
- Discovery Platforms or simple marketplaces. These apps enable users to buy clothes, shoes, and/or accessories from a great range of retailers. With this app, it’s easy to get lost in the crowd for business, especially a small one, so maybe not the best way for name promotion.
- Personal brand apps. Today it’s the most common type of fashion retails apps and the most effective – combine the bespoke service of a personal shopper with the convenience of mobile. Originally users are more focused on the whole shop, not in the specific product.
- Universal Checkout/ Fashion Aggregator Apps. Allow customers to buy products from several brands in one click. They usually collect information about fashion items from different sources.
But what exactly do fashion retailers do? Every parent wants the best for its child, so every fashion buyer want and expects:
- To look better than others
- To look unique
- To be recognizable
- To be trendy
But not always dreams come true. Commonly it’s happening because of lack of experience and lack knowledge of the m-commerce market. That’s why it’s important to know about m-commerce fashion market tips, trends and strategies to direct your business in the right way:
- “Tracking” strategy. To sell well fashion retailers should know its customers, their habits and preferences. There are a lot of different tracking systems, which could help to track transaction time, total transaction, revenue for each product or total revenue, etc. The most common use tool among online shoppers is Google Analytics. You just need to get an account, all the job Google will do for you.
- “Treat everyone equally” strategy. Not all buyers who visit your app or site are ready to buy your product immediately, but you must think about the future and treat them as well as you treat your regular buyers. Stay in contact with them, give them something (discount coupon or free style guide) that will let them feel special and stimulate the purchase.
- “Use A/B Testing” strategy. Someone thinks that it’s not necessary for fashion apps, but you must create something that not only you, but your client are like. Try to create several variations of landing or product pages and keep watching what will be more effective and what will deter the customers.
- “Blog” strategy. Personal blog for fashion retailer it’s a gold mine. Just think how many customers you could attract if they will know from your blog that the trend coat or bag is nearby and they just click in the right category. In this case they don’t feel the push of the hard sell.
- “The power of networks” strategy. Using networks could be a great way to attract people to download your app. For example, Instagram has more than 500 million daily active users, if you would create an interesting fashion (not necessarily shop) page, it’s one of the easiest ways to attract the potential buyers to download your app.
- “The power of people” strategy. One of the most common ways to attract people is recommendations from people they know. Establish trusted relationships with bloggers and influencers and their audience will trust you.
